About Sinusitis
Sinusitis often develops after a cold or flu. Common symptoms include:
- Pain, swelling or tenderness around the cheeks, eyes or forehead
- A blocked or runny nose
- Reduced sense of smell
- Green or yellow nasal mucus
- A high temperature
Other possible symptoms
- Headache
- Toothache
- Bad breath
- Cough
- A feeling of pressure in the ears
- Nasal-sounding voice
- Snoring at night
In young children
Children may also:
- Become irritable
- Have difficulty feeding
- Breathe through their mouth instead of their nose
